Thumping sound

Two weeks ago I installed new shocks (37316) on my 2009 Honda Odyssey.  Yesterday a thumping sound started.  It occurs when going over bumps or uneven road.  The back end doesn't seem to have any give or bounce that is indicative of there being a problem with the shock, but the timing is suspect.  I checked that everything was tight.  Is this something that could indicate a bad shock or would it be some other part of the suspension.  It is not a load or banging sound, but there is a definitive "thump" sound when go over a bump.

    Hello,

We currently have not seen any trending concerns related to noises on this shock in the past.  With that being said, it is possible the concern you are experiencing is related to a defective or faulty shock still.  In this situation, we have the option to warranty replace the shocks.  I recommend contacting us directly at the Technical Resource Center by calling 1-734-384-7809 M-F 8:30am-5:30pm EST.
